Q: Why are there no application photos or videos on the web site?

Page 5, Inc. is still in the process of completing the wearable ergonomic remote intuitive controller (RIC) which is used to teleoperate the hand and arm. This device is necessary to begin full manipulation testing since we have not applied resources toward developing robotic (i.e. autonomous) control of the hand and arm. All of the hand and arm joints have been tested independently as well as coordinated motions of the wrist, elbow and shoulder. We expect to post videos of object manipulation by the end of June 2009.

Q: Can you provide more detail of the hand and arm design?

Page 5, Inc. will add further hand and arm detail to the web site over the next 2–3 months. Introducing the hand and arm as an open development platform was a very recent decision. There are still some intellectual property considerations to be finalized before we add more photographs, specifications and video clips.
